Resident Program
HOWL's resident program strives to provide safe, affordable rural housing for women and trans and nonbinary individuals. We have a few openings available in the main house as well as potential for tiny homes on the land down the line. Interested in living with us?
-
Incubator Initiative
Our project incubator provides opportunities for women, trans, & nonbinary innovators, farmers, organizers, activists, and creatives to thrive and care for our community. We are seeking collaborators who want to spearhead projects that build community agency and resilience--including inclusive outdoor recreation and food security. New Tradition Farm's climate-adapted food forest serves as our anchor project.
-
Community Engagement
HOWL serves women and trans and nonbinary people, centering BIPOC, poor and working-class people, and people with disabilities. We engage in community-building and education on issues such as white supremacy, transphobia, and economic justice in order to create more empathy and connection in our rural setting. We welcome groups who would like to gather and hold conversation circles, workshops, affinity spaces, or community events in line with our mission.

Infrastructure Improvements
Maintaining and improving our community spaces will protect our foremothers’ hard work to gift us access to this beautiful place. It will allow us to do all the important work above and ensure that HOWL is a place where women, trans people, and nonbinary people can thrive for generations to come.
This is critical work, and there’s plenty to do - from the house built in ~1890, to the barn, to the trails and outdoor spaces! Please support our infrastructure improvements by donating or volunteering your talents.
