Firewood stacking party this Sunday 11/15

Hello Sisters,

You may have noticed that even though we’ve had some warm weather, winter is a-coming. Which means that HOWL has had firewood delivered — and we need your help in stacking the sticks in our woodshed!

After which we will have a collective meeting, and you are welcome to stay for that, and help direct HOWL’s future. We need you!

You are invited to join us in stacking wood this Sunday, and stay for potluck party and later collective meeting, as follows:

When: Sunday 11/15 starting at 11 AM; break for potluck lunch at 1 PM, continue afterward as needed. You can come any time after 11, if that fits your schedule better. 4-6 PM is collective meeting. Even if you can come for a short while it will be appreciated!

Bring: potluck for lunch, good cheer, your brawn and/or your help in supporting the women who can do the lifting. If lifting wood is not your thing, you are invited to entertain, feed, serenade the women who will be woodstacking.

Thank you!

Lani, Cindy, Michele, Glo, Crow, Mary, Robin

We invite you to join with many others in supporting HOWL. The farm house and barn are in need of repair and improvements. Our vision is to strengthen and upgrade these two buildings and to build on HOWL’s 30-year legacy of programs and activities that connect, empower and inspire women.

Your contribution will help make this vision a reality. Anything you are able to share is welcomed. $3, $30, $300, $3,000 or more. Since HOWL is a 100% volunteer-run organization, 100% of your donation goes to essential HOWL projects and programs.

HOWL Cleanup Day a Success!

HOWL had a productive and energizing “Cleanup Day” on May 17th thanks to a handful of generous-spirited women. We collected downed limbs and brush from winter storms and later on burned them. We got a funky lawn mower going somehow and had our first mow of the season. We had our compost pile checked out by an expert, turned over and readied for the next heap of scraps. Our outdoor shed was cleaned and organized and various cleaning projects in the house were tackled. Felt great to spiff up our HOWL nest and to meet some new women who were smitten with HOWL.

Here are some sweet HOWL photos to add to our collection.
